The BACC II book will be officially published on 14 May 2015. The launch event will be in the frame of the ECCA 2015 in Copenhagen.

Launching in Spring 2015, a pilot aimed at stimulating publishing in Open Access journals in Europe will provide funding to cover all or part of the costs of post-grant open access publishing arising from projects funded under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7).

Ingestion of microplastic particles does not mechanically affect marine isopods. This was the result of a study by biologists at the North Sea Office of the Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research (AWI).
